Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist · Houston, Texas
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist located in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood. I treat adults struggling with relationships, emotional difficulties, and questions of identity, intimacy, and desire. What brings someone into therapy may be a symptom, a strained relationship, or a sense of being caught in familiar patterns. There may also be deeper questions about who they are, what they want, or why intimacy can feel both deeply wanted and difficult to sustain.
Rather than trying to resolve these experiences too quickly, we become curious about what might lie beneath them. A symptom is rarely just itself. It can also express desires, conflicts, and traces of personal history that have not yet found a place to be known or spoken.
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy offers a particular kind of relationship in which these experiences can gradually come into view. Through speaking and being listened to, what has been hard to know, feel, or put into words can begin to emerge. In that process, something new can become possible.
